Billion launches router for faster failsafe wireless

The BiPAC 7402NX is Billion's first wireless-N multi-gigabit VPN router with 3G autofailover designed for use over high-speed gigabit networks. It's suitable for home office and SMB users. It features a USB port for a 3G/HSDPA modem which works as a backup WAN functioning as an automatic failover if the ADSL2+ connection breaks down. The BiPAC 7402NX connects over either an ADSL2+ or 3G network to deliver uninterrupted connectivity.

The router's three built-in antennas, which search for wireless signals and automatically adjust to the optimal connection after obstacles have been detected, eliminate dead zones. This allows you to create your own mobile hotspot for Wi-Fi access wherever a 3G connection is available – in a meeting or at a trade fair. The router is also equipped with a built-in 4-port Gigabit Switch, enabling fast LAN transmissions for bandwidth-consuming applications such as video streaming and file sharing. Additionally, the integrated IPsec VPN function allows you to encrypt connections of up to 16 VPN tunnels to securely transmit data over the Internet.

The latest draft 802.11n standard enables faster wireless speeds and better wireless coverage than 802.11g standards. The new BiPAC 3010N Wireless USB Adaptor is a simple way to add draft 802.11n wireless connectivity to your desktop or notebook computer. It provides WEP, WPA1/2 and WPA1/2-PSK encryption, protecting wireless connectivity with strong security and supports most Windows and Mac platforms.
